Privacy Policy (Beta)

Plotica ("we", "our", or "the Service") is a web-based plotting and simulation tool currently provided in beta. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information
  If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile data such as your email address and a unique account ID.
• User content
  Expressions, equations, prompts, and other content you submit while using Plotica features.
• Usage and technical data
  Logs such as IP address, timestamps, browser/device metadata, and error events for security, debugging, and quality improvement.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To authenticate users and manage accounts
• To process requests and return outputs (including AI-assisted features)
• To detect abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
• To monitor reliability and performance

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party service providers, including:

• Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication and infrastructure
• Google Gemini API (Google LLC) for AI-related request processing

For Gemini API usage, we use a paid/enterprise setup where available and configured. We do not use your content to train our own models via Plotica. Third-party providers process data under their own terms and policies.

4. Subscription and Payments (Coming Soon)

Subscription plans are not yet publicly launched as of 2026-02-14. Paid plans are planned as a coming soon feature.

• At this time, Plotica does not require payment to use the current beta experience.
• Before paid subscriptions go live, we will publish updated billing-related disclosures (pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms where applicable).
• If/when billing is enabled, payment data will be handled through a compliant payment processor rather than stored as raw card data by Plotica.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for legitimate operational purposes, including security, debugging, legal compliance, and service continuity. Because the Service is in beta, retention practices may evolve and this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. International Users

Plotica may be accessed from multiple countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, especially as the product evolves beyond beta and paid plans launch. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
